George Storrs (1796-1879), amerikai lelkész, előbb kogregacionalista, majd metodista, végül millerita<\/a> és adventista<\/a>. Meggyőződése lett a „feltételes halhatatlanság” (conditional immortality), miszerint az ember test és lélek egysége, és nincs halhatatlan lelke, ami halála után a mennybe vagy a pokolba kerülne. Aki nem hívőként hal meg, arra az egyetemes feltámadás vár. Halhatatlanná csak Krisztus ajándéka révén válhat az ember. Tanításának egy változatát – amely szerint a hívők is „alszanak” a feltámadásig – vette át az adventizmus<\/a> és a jehovizmus<\/a>.<\/p>\n
